The Super Eagles of Nigeria played their second match of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations

qualification against Sao Tome and Principe on Monday. The Super Eagles ran riot as they demolished their opponents by putting ten goals past them.

Napoli forward, Victor Osimhen, shone as he scored his first senior national hattrick against their opponents.

The Nigerian men’s football team scored a record two-figure goal against Sao Tome and Principe. The last time they scored such goals came almost six decades ago in their victory against the Benin Republic, where they won 10-0.

The score margin against Sao Tome and Principe came as a shock to the footballing world because, even though many expected Nigeria to win against such a team, the surprise was the goal margin.

Victor Osimhen scored four goals as Ademola got his first Super Eagles goal. Osimhen’s first two goals came from headers.

The second half of the game was a walk over for the Super Eagles as they ended the match with a margin of ten goals. Jose Peseiro’s men now sit at the top of group A, without any signs of coming down.
